Okay, so to prove how much of a bitch I am...
On the way home I was listening to the radio. Obama had named New Jersey a disaster area, and had allocated funds for it's repair and recovery. Governor Christie had released a statement saying that repairs were underway despite the fact that 150,000 homes were still without power and clean water. He said that he's going to use the funds appropriately to speed up the recovery process. There were a total of 7 deaths attributed to hurricane Irene, the most recent being a worker who was clearing away debris and ended up being sucked into a a storm drain. After hearing the news report, I changed the station and the first station I landed on was playing the song "Rock You Like a Hurricane" by the Scorpions. More than that, the first words I heard after changing the station were "Here I am, rock you like a hurricane!"
I immediately burst out laughing.
